41% of those who have been displaced are children below the age of 18. This means that children make up the majority of refugees.

People seeking asylum aren't allowed to claim benefits in the UK. If they find that they aren't able to support 

themselves, there is asylum support which only provides £5.84 daily.

Less than 1% of refugees globally come to the UK to seek asylum. Of all of those in that seek asylum in the UK only 1 in 3 applications succeed in granting refugee status.
